Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining our CNC (Computer Numerical Control) router to produce precision parts and components. Your expertise will help ensure the highest quality standards are met while adhering to safety protocols and production schedules. Along with operating the CNC router, you will assist with other sign shop duties including vinyl applications to various substrates and running the Laguna laser.
The CNC router is a Multi-Cam 3000 that uses Enroute software.

Duties
- Operation of CNC router, vinyl application and laser machines, ensuring precise execution of complex parts.
- Program CNC equipment using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing).
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) files to accurately produce parts.
- Set up tooling, fixtures, and materials on machines, ensuring proper calibration with precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
- Conduct routine inspections of machined parts using quality control tools to verify dimensions and tolerances meet specifications.
- Perform preventative maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot mechanical or software issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Handle materials efficiently within the manufacturing facility, including materials handling, fabrication, and packaging of finished products.
- Utilize hand tools, welding equipment, press brake machines, stamping presses, and other fabrication tools as needed for assembly or finishing tasks.
- Maintain detailed records of production runs, machine settings, inspection results, and any deviations from standard procedures.
- Follow safety guidelines rigorously while operating machinery such as forklift trucks and ensuring a safe working environment for all team members.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or similar equipment within a manufacturing facility.
- Strong understanding of CNC programming languages including G-code and CAM programming software.
- Familiarity with Fanuc controls or other CNC control systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, CAD files, and apply GD&T principles accurately.
- Mechanical knowledge with experience in tooling setup, calibration, and machine maintenance.
- Proficiency with precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), stamping presses, flexo presses is a plus.
- Knowledge of factory safety protocols and materials handling procedures including forklift operation certification preferred.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to machining processes.
- Strong attention to detail combined with excellent problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
