Kudzu Staffing is currently seeking a Delime Operator to join a growing team in the Swansea, SC area. The ideal candidate will have experience operating forklifts and automated process systems, be safety-focused, and have the ability to monitor and control production processes in a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for operating deliming equipment used in the gel preparation process while ensuring product quality, traceability, and accurate process documentation.
Requirements of the Delime Operator
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Experience operating forklifts with rotators and dumping large loads
- Knowledge of automated process control systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow SOPs and workplace safety procedures
- Knowledge of gel department safety standards
- Ability to maintain accurate production and quality records
- Ability to work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule alternating between days and nights

Responsibilities of the Delime Operator
- Operate deliming equipment to remove lime from hides and adjust pH levels during gel preparation
- Monitor and control deliming process variables to ensure product quality
- Maintain accurate records for production, process control, quality, and product traceability
- Safely operate forklifts in accordance with company procedures and safety guidelines
- Verify and inspect incoming hides for quality and accuracy
- Measure splits as required during production
- Record process data accurately and report any issues or excursions to the Team Leader
- Complete JDE system entries and production documentation
- Follow all workplace safety policies and procedures
- Work a rotating 12-hour schedule, alternating between day shifts and night shifts based on production needs
- Perform other duties as assigned
Pay: From $19.92 per hour
