KNTC is looking for a fun, energetic instructor to lead an elementary after-school dance enrichment class.
This is not a competitive dance program or professional studio position. Our goal is to help kids stay active, build confidence, and have fun through music, movement, and simple choreography in a positive, supportive environment.
What You’ll Do
- Lead a weekly after-school dance class for elementary students (grades K–5).
- Teach fun, age-appropriate dance routines and movement activities.
- Create an encouraging, inclusive environment where every child feels successful.
- Manage the group and keep students engaged throughout the class.
- Supervise students until parent/guardian pickup.
- Communicate with KNTC regarding attendance or any classroom needs.
We’re Looking For Someone Who
- Loves working with elementary-aged children.
- Is reliable, upbeat, and enthusiastic.
- Can confidently lead a group of 10–24 students.
- Has experience in dance, cheer, gymnastics, theater, fitness, or another movement-based activity.
- Wants to inspire kids through movement and creativity.
Professional dance teaching experience is not required. This is a recreational enrichment class focused on participation, confidence, and fun—not competition or advanced dance technique.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before the first class).
- Ability to pass a background check and fingerprinting (reimbursed by KNTC after completion).
- Reliable transportation.
If you’re looking for a rewarding part-time opportunity to make a positive impact on kids each week, we’d love to hear from you!
