Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of deli items, including sandwiches, salads, and hot foods, following established recipes and safety standards
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for processing customer orders, sales transactions, and cash handling accurately
- Manage food service customer orders efficiently while upselling additional items to enhance sales and customer satisfaction
- Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace by regularly cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food safety management by properly handling food products, monitoring storage temperatures, and adhering to sanitation protocols
- Support retail sales transactions by processing cash register operations, processing cash transactions, and balancing registers at shift end
- Assist with bussing tables, stocking deli displays, and ensuring the overall cleanliness of the food service area
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within quick service or fast-food restaurants is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order entry and cash register operations
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours
- Proven ability to deliver outstanding customer service with a friendly attitude
- Basic math skills for retail math calculations, cash handling, and inventory management
- Experience working in a retail or grocery store environment is a plus but not required
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively in a fast-paced setting
