Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CDL Class A Truck Driver with at least 2 years of CDL Class A experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in flatbed hauling and load securement. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of freight, as well as maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction while being punctual and dependable. Candidates must be willing to work 5 days per week plus some additional nights and weekends when necessary.
Duties:
- Drive a truck to transport freight, following a predetermined route and adhering to all relevant regulations.
- Secure the load safely and properly
- Use an ELD and TMS system correctly and efficiently, We currently use Motive and Trucking Hub
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the truck and trailer
- Monitor the truck's performance and report any issues to the maintenance department.
- Keep accurate records of all transportation activities, including delivery and pickup times, as well as any issues that may arise.
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with customers, dispatchers, and other drivers to ensure seamless transportation operations.
Skills:
- At least 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Ability to operate a manual transmission truck
- Experience with various types of equipment including flatbeds, step decks, box trailers, conestogas, RGNs
- Experience with ELDs
- Ability to drive a truck safely and efficiently
- Strong customer service skills
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to maintain accurate records and reports
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety protocols
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $900.00 - $2,500.00 per week
