Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food handling and meal preparation, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality meals while adhering to safety and sanitation standards. Your creativity and attention to detail will contribute to our menu planning and overall dining experience.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations and cooking equipment.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during meal periods.
- Assist in menu planning and development, providing input on seasonal dishes or specials.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling techniques.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages or needed items.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff as needed.
Requirements
- 1-5 years of experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety, and sanitation practices.
- Ability to prepare various types of cuisine with attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
