Job Description
We are currently hiring an experienced Commercial Landscape/ Lawn Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with mowing, weed-eating, edging, trimming and installation of shrubs and trees on commercial properties. You’ll work outdoors with a motivated team to keep client sites neat, healthy, and well-maintained.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial-grade lawn mowers (zero-turn, stand-on, walk-behind)
- Perform weed eating (string trimming) around landscaping features and hardscapes
- Edge along sidewalks, curbs, driveways, and beds for a clean, crisp look
- Trim and shape shrubs, bushes, and small trees using hand and power tools
- Blow off clippings and debris from all walkways and paved areas
- Installation of mulch, pine-straw, shrubs, trees, and other landscape material
- Basic irrigation knowledge
- Maintain tools and equipment, reporting any malfunctions
- Ensure job sites are clean and presentable upon completion
- Follow all company safety guidelines and wear required PPE
Requirements
- 3+ year of experience in commercial landscaping or lawn maintenance
- Ability to use lawn equipment (mowers, weed eaters, edgers, trimmers)
- Physically fit and able to lift at least 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather
- Ability to withstand the heat
- Reliable transportation to work or valid driver’s license (required)
- Strong work ethic, good attitude, teachable, works well with others, and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience driving trucks with trailers
- Basic knowledge of plants and landscaping practices
- Basic knowledge of irrigation
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
