About the Role
As a Recreational Therapist, you'll turn ordinary days into extraordinary experiences by designing and leading therapeutic activities that help individuals improve physical, emotional, cognitive, and social well-being. From art projects and fitness challenges to music sessions and community outings, you'll create opportunities for growth, connection, and joy.
What You'll Do
- Plan and lead engaging therapeutic recreation programs.
- Assess participant interests, abilities, and goals to create personalized activity plans.
- Use activities such as arts and crafts, music, games, sports, wellness programs, and community events to support treatment goals.
- Encourage social interaction, confidence, independence, and overall well-being.
- Track progress and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support participant success.
- Create a welcoming, inclusive, and positive environment where everyone can thrive.
- Adapt activities to meet the needs and abilities of diverse populations.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation, or a related field.
- CTRS certification preferred (or eligibility to obtain certification).
- Creative thinker with a passion for helping others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire participation and make activities fun for everyone.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Positive attitude, flexibility, and a sense of humor.

SALARY - $23.00 to $29.50
