Asbury Heights, a premier senior living community managed by Oakdale Seniors Alliance, is seeking a high-energy, meticulous MDS Coordinator (RNAC) to spearhead our Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process. In this critical role, you will be the clinical mastermind on our Pittsburgh campus who ensures that every resident's care journey is accurately captured, perfectly planned, and appropriately reimbursed.
Master the MDS Process: Coordinate and oversee the timely completion of all MDS assessments (OBRA and PPS) from admission to discharge, ensuring 100% accuracy and compliance with Pennsylvania state and federal guidelines.
Lead the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT): Schedule and chair weekly care plan meetings, collaborating closely with nursing, therapy, dietary, and social services to build truly person-centered care plans across our campus.
Maximize Clinical Reimbursement: Review clinical documentation with a keen eye to ensure it fully supports the care provided, capturing the appropriate resource utilization groups to reflect accurate reimbursement.
Audit & Educate: Conduct routine quality audits on medical records and provide ongoing education to floor nurses and CNAs regarding the vital importance of complete, precise clinical documentation.
Manage Transmission Data: Ensure the smooth, error-free electronic submission of all MDS data to CMS, diving into any validation errors to execute immediate course corrections.
The Golden Standard: An active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Pennsylvania. (Must be an RN to apply).
Proven MDS Expertise: 2+ years of hands-on experience managing the MDS / RAI process in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
Certification: RAC-CT (Resident Assessment Coordinator Certified) designation is heavily preferred, but a proven track record of clinical coding excellence is highly valued!
Meticulous Attention to Detail: An analytical mindset with a passion for compliance, data integrity, and complex problem-solving.
Dynamic Communication: Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to step up as a cross-departmental leader who inspires collaboration.
A Predictable Schedule: Enjoy a stable, full-time Day Shift (Monday – Friday) routine that honors your work-life balance—no more exhausting rotating night or weekend shifts!
A Strategic Leadership Voice: You will have a vital seat at the table with our Director of Nursing and Executive Director, serving as the community's leading authority on clinical compliance and quality measures.
Elite Management Support: Benefit from the robust resources, modern technology, and collaborative corporate culture provided by Oakdale Seniors Alliance.
