Duties
- Process and prepare specimens for analysis, ensuring proper labeling, storage, and documentation
- Maintain strict laboratory hygiene and aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during specimen collection and processing
- Assist in laboratory management tasks such as inventory control, equipment calibration, and maintaining cleanliness of work areas
- Follow detailed medical and veterinary terminology to accurately record specimen data and communicate findings effectively
- Support research or clinical projects by performing routine laboratory procedures under supervision
- Ensure compliance with safety standards including basic life support protocols and proper handling of hazardous materials
Qualifications
- Proven experience in laboratories, including specimen collection and processing techniques
- Experience working within hospital or healthcare settings, demonstrating professionalism and attention to detail
- Ability to operate laboratory equipment safely and efficiently while following established protocols
