Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Security Guard to safeguard our High end Residential and Corporate Buildings in Manhattan. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through vigilant surveillance, effective conflict management, and adherence to safety protocols. Your presence will help deter theft, prevent unauthorized access, and respond swiftly to emergencies. Duties
- Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to oversee all activity within the premises and identify any suspicious behavior or security breaches
- Conduct thorough background checks on visitors, contractors, and employees to ensure compliance with security policies
- Perform regular patrols of the property, including buildings, parking areas, and perimeter fences, to detect potential hazards or security issues
- Respond promptly to alarms or incidents, utilizing conflict management skills to de-escalate situations effectively
- Operate security equipment such as Taser devices, AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), and CPR techniques during emergencies
- Enforce loss prevention measures by observing and intervening in activities that could lead to theft or damage
Skills
- Proven experience in security services, law enforcement, military or related fields with a strong understanding of surveillance techniques
- Ability to operate CCTV systems confidently and perform detailed background checks efficiently
- Knowledge of first aid procedures, CPR certification, AED operation, and Taser use for emergency response preparedness
- Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations diplomatically
- Physical stamina for capable of standing or walking for extended periods
- Familiarity with loss prevention strategies and security protocols to protect assets effectively
- Strong communication skills for clear reporting, documentation, and collaboration with emergency responders
