Overview
We are seeking an energetic and visionary Director of Music to lead and inspire our vibrant music program.
Responsibilities
- Developing a consistent work schedule that would incorporate three hours on Sunday and other hours during the week as needed including choir rehearsals and practice time.
- Provide music for funeral services and weddings held within the church for an appropriate fee.
- Have a working knowledge of livestreaming and copyright issues.
- Purchasing music for the music library within the budgeted amount.
- Maintaining proper order in the music library.
- Developing and overseeing a schedule of maintenance for the church organ and pianos in consultation with the Property Committee, which has budget responsibilities.
- Serve as a team member of the Worship Committee and will cooperate with the Minister in planning regular and special services.
Requirements
- Playing the piano for worship services and choir rehearsals is required.
- Playing the organ during worship isn’t a requirement, but it would definitely be encouraged.
Pay: $1,000.00 per month
