Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Packing & QC Team Lead to oversee the final stage of our production process. In this role, you will be the final line of defense for our product quality, ensuring every order is complete, accurately kitted, flawlessly packed, and shipped out on time.
You will lead, motivate, and work alongside a dedicated team of packers in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. and handling materials, this role requires basic computer proficiency, bilingual fluency (English/Spanish), and forklift experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead & Manage: Supervise a team of packers, setting daily goals, organizing schedules, and ensuring the team operates efficiently to meet strict shipping deadlines.
- Quality Control (QC) Perform rigorous final inspections on all parts. Use computer software to cross-reference digital order files, track completeness, and generate accurate shipping/kitting labels.
- Kitting & Accuracy: Verify that all order sheets, hardware kits, and specialized components are 100% complete and accurate according to order specifications.
- Material Handling: Safely operate a forklift to move, stage, and load completed orders onto trucks.
- Workflow Optimization: Manage the packing area layout, monitor packing material inventory, and ensure orders flow smoothly from production to the loading dock.
Qualifications
- Computer Skills: Proficient with computers. Ability to comfortably navigate order fulfillment software, spreadsheets, digital order sheets, and label printing systems.
- Language Skills: Must be fully fluent in both English and Spanish to effectively communicate with production management, dealers, and the packing crew.
- Equipment Experience: Forklift experience is required (certification is a major plus); must have a proven track record of safe operation in a warehouse environment.
- Experience: experience in shipping, packing, kitting, or inventory management within a manufacturing environment (woodworking or cabinetry experience is).
- Leadership: Proven experience leading, supervising, or training a small team.
- Attention to Detail: Deep commitment to quality control with the ability to spot minor defects or missing pieces quickly.
Pay: From $23.00 per hour
