Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Housekeeper to join our team and help maintain a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for all of our hotel/motel guests. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of room cleaning and housekeeping duties, ensuring high standards of sanitation, organization, and overall guest-readiness. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will contribute to providing an exceptional stay for every guest who walks through our doors. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive guest room cleaning tasks including making beds with fresh linens, dusting furniture, vacuuming carpets, mopping hard floors, and polishing surfaces.
- Implement strict hotel sanitation and hygiene procedures to ensure health and safety standards are met consistently across all assigned rooms.
- Handle on-site laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and sorting hotel bed linens, bath towels, and pillowcases efficiently.
- Use appropriate commercial cleaning equipment, tools, and chemical detergents safely to clean floors, bathrooms, and guest room surfaces.
- Manage physical tasks safely, such as stripping beds, carrying heavy linen bags, and pushing a fully stocked housekeeping cart.
- Communicate politely and professionally with guests when fulfilling special requests or addressing inquiries in hallways and public areas.
- Coordinate daily room cleaning schedules with the front desk to ensure vacant rooms are turned over quickly for incoming guests.
Skills
- Proven experience in hotel or motel housekeeping roles, with a strong understanding of hospitality cleaning standards.
- Strong knowledge of efficient room turnaround procedures, including proper bed-making, bathroom sanitation, and floor care.
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning equipment, vacuums, and proper handling of hospitality disinfectants and detergents.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform heavy lifting (such as linen bundles and mattresses), bend, kneel, and push a heavy housekeeping cart for the duration of the shift.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills to interact respectfully with hotel guests and management.
- Skilled in time management to prioritize room assignments and complete all tasks efficiently within designated shift windows.
- Knowledge of guest room presentation standards to ensure every stay feels pristine, comfortable, and welcoming.
Pay: From $13.00 per hour
