Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of dishes, drinks, and specials to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable, ensuring timely delivery
- Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and desserts to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining guest satisfaction
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while adhering to food safety standards and sanitation protocols
- Manage cash handling and sales transactions accurately using POS systems; process payments swiftly and securely
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to ensure a pristine environment
- Build strong guest relations through attentive service, personalized recommendations, and prompt response to inquiries or concerns
Experience
- Previous food service experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Knowledge of fine dining service standards, wine pairings, spirits, cocktail mixing, and food safety regulations
- Experience with guest relations, upselling techniques, and cash handling procedures
- Culinary experience or kitchen background is a plus for understanding food preparation processes
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work seamlessly within a team in a fast-paced environment
