Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) & Security Manager to lead our organization’s commitment to workplace safety, environmental compliance, and security excellence. In this vital role, you will develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs that promote a culture of safety awareness and regulatory adherence across all operational areas. Your expertise will ensure that our facilities meet or exceed all environmental regulations and safety standards, fostering a secure and healthy environment for all employees, visitors, and stakeholders. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence safety practices at a strategic level while ensuring compliance with complex legal requirements and environmental management systems.
Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust EHS policies aligned with industry standards such as OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), and other relevant regulatory agencies.
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and hazard analyses to identify potential workplace hazards related to hazardous materials, manufacturing processes, or operational procedures.
- Lead incident investigations, prepare detailed report writing, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence of workplace accidents or environmental violations.
- Ensure compliance with environmental management systems and environmental regulatory standards by monitoring ongoing operations for adherence to environmental health laws and hazardous materials regulations.
- Oversee employee training & development programs focused on workplace safety, hazard communication, first aid (including CPR), OSHA standards, workers’ compensation law, and emergency response procedures.
- Manage security protocols by coordinating access controls, CCTV surveillance operations, and emergency response plans to safeguard personnel and assets effectively.
- Maintain thorough documentation of safety records, incident reports, inspection logs, regulatory compliance reports, and training records to support audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in manufacturing environments or industrial settings with a strong understanding of workplace safety regulations such as OSHA standards.
- In-depth knowledge of environmental compliance requirements including EPA regulations, hazardous materials handling, and environmental management systems.
- Certification in first aid, CPR, OSHA safety regulations, or related safety credentials is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with workers’ compensation law and occupational health standards to ensure regulatory compliance across all operational facets.
- Strong report writing skills with the ability to analyze data effectively for incident investigations or compliance documentation.
- Demonstrated ability in training & development of employees on safety protocols and environmental health practices.
- Excellent communication skills combined with a proactive approach to hazard identification and risk mitigation strategies.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
