Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Associate Dentist to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing high-quality patient care and will possess a strong foundation in general dentistry, including pediatric dentistry and oral surgery. This role requires excellent communication skills, a commitment to patient assessment, and a thorough understanding of dental terminology and procedures.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental examinations and assessments for patients of all ages.
- Provide preventive, restorative, and emergency dental care, including dental extractions, root canal therapy, and prosthodontics.
- Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Ensure optimal patient care and infection control practices.
- Educate patients on oral health, treatment options, and preventive care strategies.
- Stay current with advancements in dental technology and techniques, including medical imaging and aseptic techniques.
- Participate in continuing education opportunities to enhance skills in areas such as endodontics, pediatric dentistry, and dental fabrication.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state dental license to practice dentistry.
- Proficiency in using dental software such as Eaglesoft, is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and dental terminology.
- Experience in a dental office or clinic setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and their families.
