JAG Healthcare is currently seeking a compassionate, motivated, and team-oriented Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) to join our rehabilitation team on a PRN basis. Responsibilities
(include but are not limited to):
- Perform occupational therapy evaluations, re-evaluations, screenings, and discharge assessments
- Develop, implement, and revise individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and resident needs
- Provide skilled occupational therapy services designed to improve residents’ functional abilities, independence, and overall quality of life
- Supervise and provide clinical direction to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and rehabilitation support staff in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to develop and achieve resident-centered goals
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, discharge summaries, and care plan updates
- Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment plans, adaptive equipment, safety techniques, and home recommendations
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, facility, and professional practice standards
Skills & Qualifications
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program required
- Current Ohio Occupational Therapist license in good standing required
- Current NBCOT certification, if required by the State of Ohio
- Ability to supervise COTAs and rehabilitation support staff
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Skilled nursing or long-term care experience preferred, but not required
