Position Summary
The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and dining areas of the country club. This role supports the culinary and service teams by ensuring all dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and available for use at all times. The Dishwasher plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient kitchen environment in a high-service, members-focused setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize all dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen tools
- Operate and maintain dishwashing machines in accordance with health department standards
- Manually wash oversized items and delicate kitchen equipment as needed
- Assist with basic kitchen cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and trash removal
- Keep dish area clean, organized, and free of hazards
Regularly clean floors, drains, sinks, and dish stations
Safely handle cleaning chemicals and follow all safety procedures
Support kitchen staff with restocking and organization as needed
Maintain a sense of urgency during peak meal service times
Break down and clean kitchen equipment at the end of service shifts
Assist with banquet and event cleanup when required
