Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Foreman Framing Carpenter to lead and oversee framing operations on construction sites. In this role, you will coordinate crews, ensure safety compliance, and deliver high-quality framing work that meets project specifications and deadlines. Your leadership will drive efficiency, maintain strict quality control, and foster a collaborative team environment. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate framing crews to ensure timely and accurate completion of framing tasks according to blueprints, schematics, and project schedules.
- Read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and blueprints to guide framing activities effectively.
- Ensure all work complies with OSHA safety standards and company safety policies; conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, HeavyBid, or similar tools for project scheduling, tracking progress, and managing documentation.
- Oversee quality control measures to ensure framing work meets industry standards and client expectations; perform inspections using tools like an ohmmeter when necessary.
- Manage project budgets, track costs, and assist in construction estimating to maintain profitability.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to resolve issues related to contracts, schematics, or design changes; ensure clear communication across teams.
- Supervise the use of construction site equipment and materials; coordinate delivery schedules for pipeline or heavy materials as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, safety incidents, material usage, and project progress reports.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction site supervision with a strong background in framing carpentry; supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, construction estimating, budgeting, and project scheduling.
- Familiarity with construction management software such as ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, HeavyBid or equivalent tools.
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and safety protocols on construction sites.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately; experience with Ohmmeter use is a plus.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Knowledge of contracts management and construction management practices is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with construction site operations including pipeline projects or heavy civil work is advantageous.
