Reports To: Clinical Director
Purpose: To provide outpatient mental health services within the organization.
Qualifications: The Licensed/Provisionally Professional (LP) must possess a Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or counseling from an accredited university/college. The individual must be licensed as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LPA or Provisionally Licensed in any of these disciplines as approved by the appropriate Licensure Boards and the state of North Carolina, and possess substantial requisite experience with the population(s) served by the organization. The Licensed/Provisionally Licensed Professional must possess the knowledge and clinical experience in the treatment of child/adolescents with mental illness. He/she must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of child/adolescent psychological problems, models and approaches to the treatment of child/adolescent with mental illness, and evidence-based practices for treating mental health problems. The Licensed/Provisionally Licensed Professional having experience in providing individual and group treatment to child/adolescent mental health clients and experience in TF-CBT and/or substance abuse is a plus. The Licensed/Provisionally Licensed Professional must be detail-oriented, able to multi-task, and possess sound organizational skills as it relates to the management and coordination of all outpatient mental health services.
General Responsibilities: The Licensed/Provisionally Licensed Clinician is responsible for providing outpatient mental health services include, but not limited to the following:
- Responsible for the provisioning of various outpatient mental health services, to include but not limited to group and individual therapy, clinical comprehensive assessments, and providing professional assistance in the de-escalation of crisis intervention
- Ensures that mental health outpatient treatment services are provided and documented in a manner consistent with agency core operating values, policies, and expectations for quality services
- Responsible for the timely and accurate completion/ submission of all clinical documentation, encounter forms, etc.
- Under the direction of the Clinical Director, the LP/P-LP ensures that treatment is consistent with the Person-Centered Plan/Service Plan and the individual needs of each client
- Provisioning of therapeutic interventions that are commensurate with agency policies and treatment philosophy to ensure that clients progressively transition along the wellness/illness continuum
