Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide expert guidance on collectible items, trading cards, and gaming products.
- Operate the point of sale (POS) system efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately.
- Conduct product demonstrations and share knowledge about new arrivals or popular items to enhance customer engagement.
- Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking efforts to highlight featured products.
- Assist with inventory management by receiving shipments, organizing stock, and conducting regular stock checks.
- Upsell complementary products and accessories to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring excellent customer service.
- Support store operations by managing cash handling procedures, balancing registers, and adhering to phone etiquette standards.
Requirements
- Previous retail sales experience, preferably in a specialty store or grocery environment, is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain product features clearly and confidently.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve a diverse customer base effectively.
- Experience with POS systems, cashiering, retail math, and basic math skills are essential for daily transactions.
- Demonstrated supervising or leadership experience is preferred for those interested in mentorship roles.
- Knowledge of collectible card games or related hobbies is advantageous but not required; enthusiasm is key!
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and maintain a friendly attitude in a fast-paced setting.
