Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Safety and Risk Manager to lead our organization’s safety initiatives, ensuring a secure and compliant working environment. This pivotal role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety programs that promote occupational health, environmental health, and regulatory compliance across all operational areas. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction safety standards, hazard mitigation, and insurance requirements related to workplace safety, with a passion for fostering a culture of proactive risk management and employee well-being.
Duties
- To transform into an industry leader in safety and risk mitigation through focused efforts, ensuring our reputation for delivering as promised is backed by a program that proactively identifies areas for improvement and reduces costs associated with injuries, claims, and losses.
- Lead the safety team to maintain a culture where everyone returns home safely each day.
- Ensure Independent Contractors are properly insured and vetted through the IC Liaison program.
- Conduct regular safety audits, hazard assessments, root cause analyses, and incident investigations to identify risks and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain thorough documentation through report writing of safety inspections, incident reports, compliance records, and audit findings to support continuous improvement efforts.
- Stay current on evolving safety regulations, workers’ compensation law, and legal requirements related to occupational health to proactively update policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction environments with a strong understanding of OSHA standards, environmental compliance, hazardous materials regulations, and workers’ compensation law.
- Certifications in first aid (including CPR), OSHA safety standards, EPA regulations, and occupational health are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated expertise in hazard identification, root cause analysis, report writing, and developing effective training programs.
- Knowledge of regulatory/Insurance compliance standards
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform detailed risk assessments and develop strategic safety solutions.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively train employees at all levels and liaise with regulatory agencies.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
