Summary
Complete Quality is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to provide contract-based warehouse support services for our Lowe's warehouse located in Mount Vernon, TX. This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity ideal for a safety-conscious professional with experience in warehouse logistics. As a supervisor, you will be expected to be in constant professional communication with customer management and unloaders/lumpers/general laborers. Your primary role as Lead will be maintaining order and continued production on the floor throughout the day. It is necessary that you be the first and last on site each day, reliable transportation for this role is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment to ensure seamless distribution center operations.
- Lead and motivate warehouse staff, fostering a team-oriented environment focused on safety, productivity, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee inventory control procedures utilizing warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software such as AS400 or similar platforms.
- Coordinate the operation of material handling equipment including forklifts and RF scanners to facilitate efficient movement of goods.
- Implement process improvements aligned with lean management principles to enhance workflow efficiency and reduce waste.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety protocols across all warehouse activities.
- Manage logistics operations by collaborating with transportation providers, scheduling shipments, and ensuring timely delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of shipping and receiving transactions using Microsoft Office tools and inventory management systems.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory levels, reconcile discrepancies, and optimize stock accuracy.
- Enforce proper handling techniques for heavy lifting and materials to prevent injuries and promote safety standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar warehouse management role with demonstrated team leadership capabilities.
- Extensive knowledge of warehouse distribution processes, logistics, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management systems such as AS400, and RF scanner technology.
- Skilled in the operation of material handling equipment including forklifts; certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards related to warehousing and materials handling.
- Excellent managerial communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively and coordinate cross-departmental activities.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite for reporting, documentation, and communication purposes.
- Knowledge of lean management principles to support process improvement initiatives.
