Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct repairs on various vehicle systems including powertrain, transmissions, electrical systems, and diesel engines.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems.
- Execute routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections.
- Repair and replace components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools.
- Work on advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) calibrations and ensure proper functioning of safety features.
- Collaborate with team members to complete auto estimating processes and ensure timely service delivery for customers.
Requirements
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a strong background in automotive repair.
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostics tools.
- Hands-on experience with ADAS technology, alignments, transmissions, and powertrain repairs.
- Mechanical knowledge complemented by proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software.
- Ability to work efficiently on GM vehicles or similar makes; experience with diesel engine repair is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
