We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent knife skills, and experience in fine dining or restaurant environments. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in menu planning and ingredient preparation to ensure efficient kitchen operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and portioning of ingredients
- Support catering events and special meal preparations as needed
- Serve food promptly and professionally to guests or customers
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and kitchen operations
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred, especially in fine dining or catering settings
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, including meal preparation and cooking methods
- Proficiency in knife skills and food handling procedures
- Experience with menu planning and food industry standards for safety and quality assurance
- Background in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus
- Familiarity with food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food storage protocols
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Prior experience in culinary roles that involve serving or assisting in meal presentation is advantageous
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
