Job Description / Responsibilities
- Implement effective workplace procedures
- Ensure policies and best practices are up to industry standards and government regulations
- Hire and monitor ancillary staff. Administer employee benefits including PTO, health insurance, retirement, etc.
- Supervise daily practice operations such as billing, debt collections, security and occupational health and safety
- Coordinate staff meetings. Provide staff support including education and guidance
- Collaborate with Physicians to develop business strategies and patient services
· Control the practice’s daily operations by supervising administrative employees
· Managing physician and employee daily work schedules. Coordinate with health care facilities and satellite offices to ensure adequate coverage
· Order inventory
· Oversee payroll
· Physician hospital credentialing
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate with Physicians, other medical professionals, office personnel employees and patients
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· Computer literacy and knowledge of relevant health care and administrative software
· Strong leadership, motivation, training and goal-setting skills
· In-depth knowledge of health care finance best practices and standards working closely with the Business Administrator and Billing Manager. Understanding of health and safety standards in the medical industry including HIPAA
· Exemplary organization and time management skills
