Position Description: The Deburring Technician is responsible for ensuring that all machined parts are burr free and meet design specifications and quality standards by operating various hand and air tools, as well as buffers. This role involves removing burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections while working closely with production and quality teams to ensure parts are properly finished, documented, and prepared for final use or assembly. The position plays a critical role in maintaining safety and quality standards, ensuring accurate documentation, and upkeeping equipment and accessories, all in support of achieving Masterbilt’s business goals and objectives. Responsibilities:
Essential Functions
- Accurately read and interpret part blueprints and documentation to meet part quality criteria.
- Maintain safe operations by strictly adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Document actions meticulously by completing production and quality logs.
- Stay updated with industry advancements by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
Qualifications and Competency Requirements:
Experience & Education
- High School Diploma or GED, required
- Minimum of two years of manufacturing experience required
- Minimum of two years of Deburring experience preferred
- Skill in operating sandblasters, roto tools, and parts cleaners using correct procedures.
- Capable of chamfering and re-drilling parts efficiently.
- Expert in visually identifying burrs and swells on intricate parts.
- Proficient in performing knifing and buffing on detailed components.
- Understand and accurately complete all job-related paperwork.
- Knowledgeable in all deburring methods to deburr intricate parts independently.
- Ability to repair parts as needed to ensure quality.
- Proficient in using micrometers, calipers, and simple gaging tools. Basic blueprint reading skills to ensure accurate part processing.
- Minimum of two years of manufacturing experience required
