We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team and oversee daily kitchen operations in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment. Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
- Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste through effective food management practices.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing training, coaching, and development to enhance skills in food handling, safety procedures, and culinary techniques.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper food safety practices and sanitation standards.
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation.
- Coordinate shift schedules, manage staffing levels, and oversee shift management to optimize productivity during busy hours.
- Lead efforts in customer service excellence by maintaining a welcoming environment and addressing guest feedback promptly.
- Assist with budgeting responsibilities and cost control initiatives to support overall restaurant profitability.
- Conduct interviews for new team members, participate in hiring decisions, and support onboarding processes.
- Collaborate with management on menu development, promotional activities, and special events like banquets or catering services.
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining establishments.
- Demonstrated supervising experience with strong leadership skills in hospitality management or restaurant management roles.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS along with cash handling procedures.
- Experience in inventory control, food safety protocols, and food handling standards is essential.
- Prior involvement in staff training & development programs to foster team growth and operational excellence.
- Background working in fine dining or hotel environments is advantageous but not required; a broad range of restaurant experience is valued.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction.
