SUMMARY: Prepare clear, complete and accurate working plans and detailed drawings from sketches, notes, customer drawings, and/or models utilizing modern CAD/CAM software.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Use computer assisted drafting (CAD) equipment and software to take customer 3D models and draft 2D prints for distribution to the manufacturing floor
- Check dimensions of parts, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to whole structure or project to highlight concerns prior to releasing drawings
- Releases and prints drawings for the manufacturing floor
- Ensure document revision control is maintained through all process steps
- Make adjustments and changes necessary or desired to existing prints
- Review customer drawings and issue redline adjustments when needed to appropriate personnel for review and acceptance
- Offer design for manufacture support by proposing creative solutions to problems discovered during the drafting process
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Two-year college or technical school degree in engineering related field, three years of related experience, or adequate combination of education and experience preferred
- Ability to work within CAD/CAM software, Solidworks experience preferred
- Experience working in a manufacturing setting, including knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Strong blueprint reading and math skills
- Time management skills to meet deadlines while ensuring work is error-free
- Ability to work successfully both individually and collaborate with a team

The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms. Pay: Up to $55,000.00 per year
