SUMMARY:
This role is responsible for general warehouse support with inbound / outbound shipments, while ensuring adherence to all regulations / compliance standards. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a fast-paced environment with past experience in perishable cargo handling.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receiving & Shipping: Load and unload freight from/on trucks. Inspect shipments for damage and verify piece counts, weights, and dimensions.
- Perform heavy lifting up as needed
- Maintain accurate record of receiving and releasing
- Able to work in cooler facility. Safely operate warehouse machinery such as forklifts, pallet jacks.
- Matches items vs. commercial invoice, picking list. Identify short/missing/over items and report to office.
- Warehouse inventory recording and reporting.
- Keep smooth communicate with warehouse team and office of any issues and work together solve issues and customer requirements.
- Work with operation team implement SOP according to different account requirements.
- Ensure adherence to TSA, CBP, CTPAT, and Apex internal compliance requirements for SFO operations.
- Maintain accurate records in internal systems and screening record and ensure data integrity
- Follow task assigned by supervisor / shift leader.
SCHEDULE:
- 3rd shift (9pm - 5:30am)
- Monday - Friday during initial training
- Wednesday - Sunday after the initial training
- Flexibility for weekend support after training
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Basic computer skills and experience with inventory tracking software or barcode scanners.
- Forklift certification or the ability to acquire one is typically preferred.
- TSA certification or experience strongly preferred
- Experience in perishable cargo handling (e.g., produce, seafood, flowers) is plus
- Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, cargo terminal or supply chain is plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
