Moving Truck Driver
Job Summary:
The Moving Truck Driver drives a Moffett truck and transports brick and like materials to job sites for our Greenville, SC division.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Understands fully how to operate and safely drive assigned vehicle.
- Drives vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 26,000 lbs.
- Ensure safe transportation of goods, including ensuring goods are properly secured in the truck to prevent damage and/or injury.
- Communicate with dispatch/scheduler as needed.
- Inspect vehicle before and after each trip
- Confirm goods are delivered to correct location and receive signed documentation of delivery as needed.
- Ensure cleanliness of vehicle, inside and out.
- Follow delivery schedule.
- Maintain and service vehicle as needed. Report any maintenance needs to the shop.
- Transports brick and like materials to job sites in various locations.
- Navigates various types of locations and terrains, including, but not limited to, neighborhoods, highways, commercial areas and parking lots, and more.
- Ability to help load and unload truck as needed.
- Ability to have extreme focus on road and safety.
- Abides by all traffic laws.
- Abides by company, local, state, and federal regulations.
- Operates machinery for loading and unloading as needed.
- Obeys and upholds all safety regulations as assigned by Safety Manager, Director of Safety, and all governing bodies such as OSHA.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Commercial Driver’s License A required.
- DOT card clearance required.
- Must be able to drive 10 speed manual CDL truck.
Physical Requirements:
- Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push and/or pull 50-pound loads at a time.
- Must be able to work and drive in all weather conditions, unless safety dictates otherwise.
- Must be able to sit and drive up to eight hours per day.
