Umbrella Property Services is hiring Snow Equipment Operators in Mokena, IL, at $40 to $55 per hour. Plow truck drivers need two years of snow-plowing experience and a valid driver's license our insurance provider can approve. Skid steer operators need two years in the seat. When the storm starts at 2am, you are the reason a commercial lot is clear before the first car pulls in.
Who You Are:
- You are steady behind the wheel of a plow truck or in the seat of a skid steer, careful around curbs, parked cars, and people.
- You take pride in a lot cleared edge to edge, with no missed corners.
- You believe safety comes first, and you follow the procedures and direction your supervisor sets.
- You bring on-call availability from November through March, including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays, and you report promptly when dispatched.
- You bring reliable transportation and a phone you answer.
- You bring the stamina for physical outdoor work in cold, changing weather, on zero-tolerance and two-inch-trigger properties.
Who We Are:
- We handle property services for commercial properties in Chicago and across the Chicagoland area.
- We cover several service categories for the same client, so property managers work with fewer vendors.
- We move when the weather moves. Last year the first snow came the opening weekend of November.
What You Will Do Each Day:
- Operate company plow trucks on assigned commercial routes.
- Run company skid steers for commercial snow removal.
- Clear each property to the standard that site requires.
- Follow safe operating procedures around vehicles, pedestrians, and property.
- Report to your route when dispatched, day or night.
