Computer Hardware Technician - Stow, OH
Compensation starts at $17.50 hourly. The standard work week runs Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with additional overtime hours required based on operational needs.
Our facility manages the daily processing of household electronics for recycling purposes. While some units are broken down to recover raw materials, others are evaluated and restored by our Tech Center staff for reuse.
Role Overview:
Joining our specialized testing and refurbishment group, you will contribute to one of our primary departments: laptops, desktops, or special consumer electronics. Your specific placement will depend on your background, though you may be asked to cross-train or assist with specialized warehouse projects depending on current inventory levels and client demand.
Key Duties:

Evaluate assigned hardware to establish a baseline and record detailed information regarding the condition and technical specifications of each unit.

Upgrade internal hardware like memory, storage drives, and video cards to ensure equipment meets specific client requirements.

Configure BIOS settings and boot orders to confirm that all system parameters are operating correctly.

Restore and verify a diverse range of consumer goods, such as mobile devices, audio equipment, and smart home technology.

Ensure that device processing remains efficient to help the team meet production goals and maintain high standards of quality.
