Job Summary:
Our assistant manager performs all sales and operation functions at the store sales counter, including order processing, product application, pricing, etc. You are expected to have vast knowledge of HVAC parts and equipment in order to help provide our customers with the help they need. It is important to possess the ability to use and learn computer software, as our company offers proprietary programs for product lookup and cross-referencing tools to help our customers make sure they are buying the best and correct inventory for their jobs.
As an assistant manager, you would help the branch manager manage store operations to meet goals and objectives for store sales, profitability, and customer experience in the local market.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist customers with sales, questions on products and any other information.
- Learn and use all cross-reference materials to find alternate product if needed.
- Process orders and returns.
- Handle customers’ phone orders and questions as you would in person at the counter.
- Process delivery, ship-outs. and will-call orders.
- Clean, organize and stock showroom and counter area.
- Maintain an accurate cash drawer.
- Work well as a team player while following all Company Policy/Store Standards.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with warehouse duties if needed.
- Attend company training classes.
- Work on special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED.
- Four to five years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination.
- Past experience will include customer service, sales and technical knowledge in HVACR.
Other Skills and Abilities
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Organized and able to prioritize work.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,500.00 - $80,500.00 per year
