Assess, treat, and monitor patients with acute and chronic cardiopulmonary conditions
Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, nebulizer treatments, and other respiratory therapies
Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot ventilators and respiratory support equipment
Perform arterial blood gas collections and other respiratory diagnostic procedures
Respond to emergency situations, including airway management and cardiopulmonary resuscitation
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams to develop individualized treatment plans
Educate patients and families regarding respiratory conditions, treatments, and home care needs
Maintain accurate patient documentation within the electronic medical record
Follow hospital policies, infection prevention protocols, and patient safety standards
