Host / Hostess – OSO Sonoma
OSO Sonoma, located on the historic Sonoma Square, is seeking an experienced Host or Hostess to join our team for lunch and dinner service. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, energetic dining environment and enjoys creating a welcoming first impression for guests.
Position Overview
The ideal candidate is outgoing, polished, and highly organized, with strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset. As the first point of contact, you’ll play a key role in shaping the guest experience while supporting the flow of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet guests as they arrive and manage the front door with professionalism
- Seat guests efficiently
- Manage reservations using OpenTable
- Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries about the restaurant and menu
- Print and organize menus as needed
- Assist the team with bussing tables and running food when necessary
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front-of-house environment
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role
- Friendly, outgoing personality with a polished and professional appearance
- Strong multitasking skills and the ability to stay composed under pressure
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Team player willing to support all areas of the restaurant
- Availability for 3–5 shifts per week, ideally Wednesday through Sunday
- Valid Food Handler’s Certificate required
