Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Houseman to join our hospitality team! In this vital role, you will be the backbone of maintaining a pristine, welcoming environment for our guests and staff. Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of public areas, and back-of-house spaces using industry-standard techniques and equipment
- Maintain high standards of floor care, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and polishing to ensure surfaces are spotless and safe
- Assist with hotel housekeeping tasks such as changing linens, replenishing supplies, and organizing storage areas
- Support janitorial duties by sanitizing restrooms, cleaning windows, dusting surfaces, and removing trash efficiently
- Conduct routine inspections of the property to identify maintenance or cleanliness issues and report them promptly
- Handle industrial cleaning tasks when necessary, utilizing appropriate tools and safety procedures
- Collaborate with housekeeping management to ensure all cleaning schedules are met and standards upheld
Requirements
- Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services; hotel or hospitality experience is highly preferred
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including polishing, buffing, and deep cleaning methods
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and safety protocols
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness standards
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and a positive approach to guest service
- Prior experience in hospitality or housekeeping management is a plus but not required
