We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health assessments, diagnose psychiatric conditions, and develop personalized treatment plans to promote optimal patient well-being. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including mental status examinations and diagnostic assessments utilizing clinical research and medical terminology.
- Prescribe medications within collaborative practice agreements, adhering to DEA regulations and utilizing CPT coding for billing purposes.
- Manage medication administration, including injections, and dermal fillers when applicable, to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Provide crisis intervention and triage services for patients experiencing acute mental health episodes in emergency room or urgent care settings.
- Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to develop integrated treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
- Document all patient interactions accurately within EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, medication management, and wellness strategies using health coaching techniques.
Requirements
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with certification in psychiatric mental health (PMHNP-BC) or equivalent credentials.
- Proven experience working with diverse populations including children, geriatrics, seniors in memory care or assisted living environments, and individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Demonstrated proficiency in EMR systems; experience with telehealth platforms is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, pharmacology (psychopharmacology), and diagnostic evaluation methods related to psychiatry and behavioral health.
- Critical care experience or hospital medicine background is highly desirable; ICU or emergency room experience is a plus.
- Excellent client communication skills with a focus on trauma-informed care, psychiatric conditions; experience working with individuals with disabilities.

Pay: $90.00 - $140.00 per hour
