Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of all designated areas, including floors.
- Handle various cleaning agents safely, following chemical handling safety procedures to ensure a healthy environment.
- Conduct sanitation tasks including trash removal, surface disinfecting, and restroom upkeep to uphold hygiene standards.
- Use manual handling techniques for heavy lifting of supplies and equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Maintain facilities by performing minor custodial repairs or reporting maintenance issues promptly.
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred but training is provided.
- Experience with facilities maintenance or general Porter duties demonstrates versatility in custodial responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of sanitation standards and safe manual handling practices is required.
- Customer service skills are beneficial for interacting professionally with staff and visitors when necessary..
