Evening Shift - 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for assisting in the safe and efficient operation of Rome's Water Reclamation Facilities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of Federal, State, City, and WRF policies and procedures pertaining to wastewater treatment.
- Knowledge of the methods and procedures of wastewater analysis, sampling and treatment, including NPDES permit requirements.
- Knowledge of operation, repair, and maintenance of plant equipment.
- Skill in the use of such tools and equipment as centrifuge, meters, weight scales, and electrical crane.
- Knowledge of computer hardware and software utilization.
- Skill in calculating, interpreting and utilizing process control data.
- Skill in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical manuals.
- Skill in oral and written communication
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the work of subordinate positions to be able to answer questions and resolve problems.
- Possession of a State of Georgia Class III Wastewater Operator license and the ability to obtain a State of Georgia Class II Wastewater Operator license within one year of employment.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s license in the state of residency.
- Must already possess National Incident Management Systems (NIMS) 100 and 700 and obtain 200 within three (3) months of employment.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license from state of residency.
- Must already possess or can obtain National Incident Management Systems (NIMS) 100 and 700 within three (3) months of employment.
