Job Overview
We are looking for career-oriented individuals who are seeking long-term employment with the opportunity to transition from temporary to permanent employment. Candidates must be willing to complete the required background check and drug screen before starting. Please note: This is not an immediate-hire position.
Once hired permanently, employees will become members of the union and receive the benefits associated with the position.
This role involves production, packaging, shipping/receiving, and material handling of aluminum cable trays. Forklift experience is preferred, but candidates without experience may be considered if they are willing to train and operate a forklift.
Responsibilities
- Perform production and packaging of aluminum cable trays.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Pick, stage, and move materials throughout the facility.
- Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
- Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems to track inventory and orders.
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities.
- Inspect equipment and follow all required safety procedures and OSHA standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Work collaboratively with team members to maintain an efficient workflow.
- Perform other material handling and production duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be able to stand for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Previous forklift experience is preferred.
- Candidates without forklift experience must be willing to train and operate a forklift.
- Must be willing to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift.
- Must be willing to complete a background check and drug screen.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic are required.
