Position: Pipe Fitter | Location: Maryville, TN

Trades Exchange (TEX) is seeking experienced Pipe Fitters for industrial and commercial projects. We are looking for dependable, detail-oriented tradespeople with strong knowledge of piping systems, blueprint reading, layout, fit-up, and installation procedures.
This role requires individuals who can work efficiently in fast-paced industrial environments while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and piping schematics
- Measure, cut, thread, groove, and fit carbon, stainless, and other piping systems
- Perform pipe layout, fit-up, and assembly
- Install valves, supports, hangers, flanges, and related piping components
- Work alongside welders and other trades to complete installations
- Verify measurements and ensure proper alignment and fit-up
- Use hand tools, power tools, grinders, beveling machines, and measuring equipment
- Assist with hydro testing and system checks when needed
- Follow OSHA and site-specific safety procedures at all times
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Work overtime, shutdowns, and outage schedules as required
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous industrial or commercial pipe fitting experience required
- Ability to read blueprints and ISO drawings
- Strong knowledge of piping systems and fit-up procedures
- Experience with carbon and stainless piping preferred
- Must have basic pipe fitting tools and PPE
- Reliable transportation required
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding environments
- Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and around active industrial equipment
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and positive attitude required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in industrial facilities, manufacturing plants, shutdowns, or new construction
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
- NCCER Certification a plus
- Ability to work from prints without constant supervision
