- Support menu planning efforts by suggesting new recipes or modifications based on customer preferences and dietary requirements.
- Handle food with care, adhering to proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination or spoilage.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation, timing, and presentation.
- Contribute to food safety management by following safety protocols during food production and storage, ensuring compliance with health regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and operating kitchen equipment within a food industry or restaurant setting.
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and proficiency in food handling practices.
- Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation techniques such as slicing and knife skills.
- Familiarity with catering services or large-scale food service operations is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen staff and other team members.
