Sichuan House is hiring dependable front-of-house team members for a hybrid role focused on guest service, dining room support, and service flow.
This position is for someone who is professional with guests, works with urgency, and understands that strong service is not just about taking tables. It also requires readiness, teamwork, cleanliness, and consistent support behind the scenes. Some shifts may be more guest-facing, while others may focus more heavily on support responsibilities that keep the dining room operating smoothly.
We are a family-style Chinese restaurant in San Antonio built on professionalism, teamwork, speed, and high standards.

Pay
Starting pay: Table Service: $8 - 15/ HR + Tips; Ops. Support: $12 - 18/Hr + Tips
Position Summary
The Table Service & Support role helps maintain strong front-of-house execution throughout the shift. Responsibilities may include guest-facing service, running food, table maintenance, bussing and resetting, side work, takeout support, station stocking, folding napkins, preparing support items, and helping keep the restaurant clean, organized, and guest-ready.
This role is best for someone who notices what needs to be done, moves quickly without being micromanaged, and takes pride in helping the entire dining room run well.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include:
- Providing warm, attentive, and professional guest service
- Taking orders accurately when assigned to guest-facing service duties
- Running food and beverages with urgency
- Bussing and resetting tables quickly and thoroughly
- Supporting takeout organization and handoff
- Folding napkins and preparing plasticware rolls
- Filling sauces, condiments, and to-go support items
- Restocking service stations and front-of-house supplies
- Cleaning and maintaining dining room, service stations, entry, and guest areas
- Supporting opening, mid-shift, and closing side work
- Assisting servers, captains, and management as directed
- Helping maintain clean, organized, and efficient service flow throughout the shift

- Arrive on time and ready to work
- Check in immediately and begin assigned duties
- Work with urgency and stay productive throughout the shift
- Keep work areas clean, stocked, and organized
- Support the team without waiting to be asked repeatedly
- Stay off your phone during the shift except for approved business use
- Use “full hands out / full hands in” whenever moving through the restaurant
- Complete side work and closing duties fully before clocking out when required

Requirements
- Current Food Handler certification
- Current TABC certification preferred or required depending on duties
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift at least 25 lbs
- Reliable transportation
- Consistent availability, especially on nights and weekends
