Experienced Pastry cook
Mademoiselle Louise, a charming and authentic French bakery and café in the heart of Downtown Houston, is looking for a passionate and skilled Pastry / Cook to join our team!
If you have a love for traditional French baking and enjoy working in a dynamic, artisanal environment, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist in Baking : Support the head baker in preparing a variety of artisanal breads, viennoiseries, pastries, and cakes using traditional French techniques.
- Maintain High Standards: Ensure the bakery area remains clean, organized, and meets food safety regulations at all times.
- Handle Ingredients & Equipment: Lift and transport flour sacks and baking supplies, and assist in operating professional baking machinery.
- Decorate & Finish with Flair: Help with cake and pastry decoration to meet customer expectations and aesthetic standards.
- Customer Satisfaction First: Contribute to crafting high-quality baked goods that keep our customers coming back for more!
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in a bakery, pastry shop, or café (preferred).
- A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for baking.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality.
- Flexibility with schedules – weekend availability is required.
- Team player with a positive attitude!
Schedule & Compensation:
Workdays: Wednesday to Sunday
Shifts: 8-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
Pay: based on experience
Location: In-person – Downtown Houston
