Snider Fleet Solutions, one of the nation's largest commercial tire dealers and retread service providers, is looking for a dependable Local Truck Delivery Driver to join our team.
This is a local, hourly position where you'll be home every night. You'll drive a 26-foot box truck (under 26,000 lbs. GVWR) to pick up and deliver commercial tires and wheels to customers on established routes.
This is more than a driving job. You'll be the face of Snider Fleet Solutions, providing excellent customer service while safely loading, unloading, and moving commercial tires throughout the day. Responsibilities:
- Operate a 26’ foot truck to deliver commercial tires, wheels, and other items
- Ensure proper loading/unloading of inventory and ensuring paperwork is correct
- Maintain a safe driving record, follow all safety rules/PPE requirements, and conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections
- Keep truck clean, stocked, and maintained
- Support warehouse/service staff with tire handling and equipment use
- Communicate effectively with customers and management regarding schedules, delays, violations, accidents, or breakdowns
- Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and adherence to policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years old
- At least 1+ years of experience (preferably within the industry)
- Must have a clean driving record
- Ability to pass backgrounds screening and insurable by company standards
Certificates and Licenses:
- Valid Driver's License and must be insurable to drive by company standards
- DOT Medical Certification (upon hire)
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screen
- Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to use road maps, smart phones, and GPS devices
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and time constraints
- Must be able to work in a results-oriented fast-paced environment
- Reliable and dependable with self-initiative
