Job Overview
Align Alabama Health & Wellness is seeking an experienced, dependable, and organized Front Office Coordinator to join our chiropractic office. This position is responsible for managing the patient-facing front desk experience while also supporting insurance verification, patient account communication, payment collection, scheduling, and daily office flow.
The Front Office Coordinator will greet patients, answer phones, schedule appointments, check patients in and out, assist new patients, collect payments, complete day sheet closeout, and help ensure insurance information is accurate before patient visits.
Required Experience
Prior chiropractic, medical office, or healthcare front desk experience required.
Insurance verification experience required.
Must understand basic insurance terms, including deductible, copay, coinsurance, eligibility, visit limits, and prior authorization.
Experience communicating insurance and payment information to patients required.
Experience collecting payments and balancing daily collections preferred.
Experience with practice management software preferred.
Required Skills
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Professional phone etiquette.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to multitask in a busy healthcare office.
Ability to identify and communicate insurance or account concerns.
Comfortable using computers, phones, scanners, email, payer portals, and office software.

Ability to handle patient information with confidentiality and professionalism.
Preferred Skills
Chiropractic office experience.
Experience with insurance portals and eligibility checks.
Payment collection and day sheet balancing experience.
Ability to stay calm, professional, and organized during busy patient flow.
Work Environment
This position is in a busy chiropractic office and requires regular interaction with patients, providers, and team members. The right candidate will be friendly, organized, detail-oriented, and confident handling front desk duties as well as insurance-related responsibilities.
