Summary: Responsible for supporting our customers by managing inventory, placing product orders and merchandising at customer locations. The Vending Technician will cover a vending route to fill and satisfy customer orders in vending machines. A valid drivers license is required to deliver to customers in company work van.
General
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers
- Help with all warehouse products by rotating and putting product away FIFO
- Pull and deliver products for concession orders to various accounts as needed
- Pick orders for vending machines and Micro markets
- Stock and fill vending machines and Micro markets
- Manage, maintain, and enhance current and new vending machines in the market, to include:
- Serviced and filled to avoid out-of-stock and optimize sales
- Out-of-date or close-to-date products are removed
- Collect money from assigned accounts, in accordance with the state law and Bill's Distributing Ltd policy
- Ensure machines have adequate coin-on-hand
- Service, maintain and install coffeemakers, brewers and expresso machines
- Accounted for with B4U accounting team
- Ensure vending products are priced correctly and neatly displayed
- Communicate to customers about any product or price changes as needed
- Able to service, repair and move vending machines, brands we carry to be serviced include AMS, USI, Piranha, and Stack 10 are some examples
- Able to service and repair parts of the vending machines including but not limited to cooling systems, electronic boards, keypads, DC motors and product sensors
- Ensure all machines, equipment, and technology are operating as intended to include
- On-site and potentially after-hours troubleshooting
- Communication with customers on issues
- Pick product from warehouse according to system generated pick list in a timely and efficient manner as needed
- Load machine product bins into company vehicle for delivery
- Understand and adhere to all BDL policies and procedures regarding product quality
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
- Vending experience a plus
Necessary Skills and Abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
- Able to use technical applications for the vending machines (MOMA, NAYAX, Cantelope) Training for these applications are offered
- Demonstrate high levels of professionalism
- Demonstrate good judgment and problem-solving skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, planning and collaboration skills
- Solid understanding of industry regulations
- Proficient computer software skills, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Mobility
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet all deadlines
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Maintain appropriate dress and personal appearance standards
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift/move case products or materials, up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to use hands for phone or computer work; reach with hands and arms for various activities; sit frequently or for extended periods
Working Conditions/Environment
- Work is frequently performed at customers’ locations
- Typical office environment while working on site
- May be required to work extended hours
- Schedule is Monday through Thursday
