Job Overview
We are an established periodontal specialty office in Nassau County, Long Island, looking for a motivated, compassionate, and team-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our practice.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hygienist who enjoys providing comprehensive periodontal care and working closely with a periodontist and surgical team.
Responsibilities
- Provide periodontal maintenance and non-surgical periodontal therapy
- Perform comprehensive periodontal assessments and charting
- Take necessary dental radiographs
- Administer local anesthesia as permitted by NYS regulations
- Educate patients on periodontal health and home care
- Assist the periodontist with patient care as needed
- Work proactively to keep the hygiene schedule full
- Review patient records and plan to identify opportunities to fill open appointments
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with NYS licensure requirements
- Participate in continuing education and professional development
Qualifications
- NYS-licensed Dental Hygienist
- Periodontal experience preferred
- Excellent clinical and communication skills
- Professional, dependable, and compassionate
- Ability to work well as part of a collaborative team
Pay: $55.00 - $62.00 per hour
